ChristmasTable Runners

This elegant table runner will be a gift for someone's mom.
The poinsettias are just beautiful, outlined in gold.  In my opinion, Holiday Fabric
must have some gold accent to give it that elegant and rich look. This is also a
Kaufman Fabric, with Dark Green Marble Fabric by Timeless Treasurers.  The backside
has a Holly pattern making this reversible.  Needless to say I am making
one for myself.  You can never have enough table runners.

Elegant Leaves of Fall

This is truly one of the most beautiful fabrics, the leaves
are outlined in Gold giving it a elegant look.  Again I love this design.
Simple yet stunning.

Creating the design layout.  Getting the perfect pattern takes time because
you have to play with it and see what looks best.  I usually take pictures of
several different layouts then I pick the best.

Marcy's Runners

Valentines - This was a gift to my good friend Marcy for Valentines Day.  Marcy loves my work and I love giving it to her for presents.  She appreciates everything I make for her.

I made this reversible table runner for her as well for the Fall.

Linda's Table Runners

My friend Linda gave me fabric left over from her draperies and asked me to make somehting for her.  It took me a year to find the perfect match.  Thank goodness she wasn't in a hurry.  The pattern I used is very basic and contemporary.  The fabric I added to hers was the red and gold striped and the black squares.  This came out very beautiful and rich looking.  I think she was very pleased with it.  There is also some olive green in the stripes and gold accents.

This runner had red and gold striping and darker gold embroidered
fabric.  I found a deeper red/wine colored fabric to accent.  This is
very rich looking, the colors in these photos do not do it justice.

Quilt for new Baby Jackson

I made this baby quilt for a shower gift.  A little different from an ordinary baby quilt.  Since I knew they were having a boy, I thought this would a little more interesting. This was a fabric panel and I stitched around all the roads, all buildings, the fountain, mountains, the lake all vehicles all tree trunks and other things.  It took me 18 hours to complete this quilt. I hope they enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it.  Best wishes to Tiffany and Adam whose baby is due December 25th.

Christmas Place Mat and Table Topper

This place mat is reversible.  This is a Kaufman fabric with gold outlines,
it is very elegant and decorative.

The white and red poinsettias all have gold in the fabric,  the green
squares are dotted with gold.  More Kaufman fabric.  I really do love
their fabrics, they are always so elegant.

so easy to damage the screen.  These covers are washable in cold water and drip dry they will keep their fit and look like new.

These are my new iPhone covers, you can slip your iPhone in here to protect it from getting scratched.  The price on these is $15 plus shipping. Names can be embroidered for and additional $3.00.  Please contact me if interested.

Latest News

It has been a while since I have updated this blog, but a lot has happened.   A year ago December I had foot surgery and was off work for 13 weeks.  My foot still hurts somewhat and I am hoping it will get better.

The last week of July my husband ended up in the hospital for a week with a bad kidney stone.  He then came home and after 3 days went back to the hospital.  Due to a problem in surgery, complications resulted and he ended up in the hospital 2 more times.  Loosing about 35 lbs. during this time.  Well he is now back to work and has put back the weight.

I have been busy sewing more orders for Christmas.  I have added a few more new things that I have made.   I had to get a new lap top because my old one was running very slow.   New technology is rapidly changing therefore making our old equipment obsolete.  I guess demand keeps the ecomony going and people in jobs, unfortunately not in this country because most of it is made in China or elsewher other than our United States.

I welcome any comments you would like to leave for me.

Holiday Place Mats

Christmas place mats I made for a Christmas gifts.

Hoffman Challenge 2006

In 2006 I entered the Hoffman Challenge in the Beginner Quilter category, which I was.  I was so thrilled to enter my quilt.  The colorful pattern was of butterfly wings.  If you are familiar with Hoffman materials you know they have gold threading.  Since I was new to quilting, this was a challenge for me.  The measurements had to be perfect, they have strict rules to follow.

This was a style of quilting that I had never done before, each square was individually quilted and pieced together in rows and connected.  I was proud of myself.  However, I didn't win anything, but received a pin for entering the contest.  I was happy to have done it.  Someday I plan on entering again.

Poinsettias Table Runner

Christmas Table Runner, with stylish embroidery, simple but elegant.  This was a gift for one of my neighbors.

Tropical Colors

My first large quilt I made fits across the top of a King size bed.  This was a definite challenge, of course it looks a lot harder than it was.  Accuracy is definitely important.  It was cut from the same material each star from a different section.   A kaleidoscope of colors.
