More check book covers.

Check book covers with different embroidered designs.  Believe it or not this green one was bought by a man for himself.  His bills were sticking out of his wallet and this worked out well for him.

Just Cant Cut It

This is one of my earlier quilts.  I found this pattern in a book called  "Just Can't Cut It".  You can use this with a material you don't want to cut up, so the complete design shows.  Purple is my favorite color.  I used a dark green Batik for the corners.  I also did some fancy stitching in the outer border.  The size came out to 44" square.

Matching Set

I made this purse for myself because I bought a pair of shoes and my material matches perfect.  So I decided to make the purse and a matching checkbook cover as well.  The copper color material is by Michael Miller called Fairy Frost, very stunning.  For the elegant look I added some beading, both the front and back are identical.  There are two spacious inside pockets.  The bottom is supported with a "Baggie Bottom" which is acrylic and covered with the same material as the lining which is also very complimenting. The purse is quite spacious, bottom width 4" the sides are 3" wide, the height is 7.5".  All material is 100% cotton. the handles are acrylic.

Check Book Covers

Leopard prints have been my most popular ones. They all have a colorful lining and all have decorative stitching.  There are no two alike.  They are fun and easy to find in your purse. Most of all they are not bulky like most check books.

Fall Leaf Table Runner

The name of this table runner is called "Leaves".  I took a class at my local quilting store.  This was a lot of work, but I loved making it.  It is amazing at how beautiful the leaves came out.  The material used were all Batiks.  It is also reversible.  This was a kit and I have made a couple of these already.

Jungle Cat Quilt

The quilt covers the top of a Queen size bed.  The copper color around the border is a very beautiful material with a copper metalic look.  It is by Michael Miller called Fairy Frost.  I think it is very elegant and it really gives the quilt a rich look.  I made this for my sister Veronica.

History in the Making

This was my first quilt I made about 6 years ago.  Did you know that in the United States quilters sent messages to the fugitive slaves, over 150 years ago, by encoding messages within quilt patterns and displaying them on a fence post, windows or clothes lines, helping them escape on the Underground Railroad.

If you have not read the book, "Hidden in Plain View" a secret story of quilts and the Underground Railroad.  Authors Jacqueline L. Tobin and Raymond G. Dobard, Ph.D.  I recommend reading this book. Not only is this a look back into the history of this country but history of quilting generations.

Leopard Print Place Mats

Place Mats I made for my friend Doreen in Florida. Doreen has a bit of a jungle print going in her living and dining room. She was so excited when I gave here these, a set of four.  A very nice accent on her dining room table.  They are reversible.

Antonio's Quilt

I made this quilt for my grandson, Antonio for his 12th birthday.  A variety of sports, airplanes and motorcycles.  This quilt covers a single bed, the back side, orange and yellow flames. Antonio helped pick out some of the material used in this quilt.  This will be something for him to remember me by.

Christmas Cats

This is a runner and quilted squares I made for my friend Marcy  for Christmas.  Marcy has several of my quilted items I made for her, she appreciates my gifts and my talent.  She is my good friend I have known for many years.  The quilt kit I bought from my friends at Quilt Kits On Line.  Please check out their link on my on my site here.
